Check out the awesome bio below. It is below this final sentence. No - this is the final sentence.
You could say I’m hardwired for change.
A global nomad, mother of two, transformation coach and entrepreneur. I feel comfortable in new zones.
Raised and educated in both the UK and Canada, I found myself living and working in Asia during my twenties. This early exposure to travel sparked my comfort in change. It definitely nurtured my unique perspectives.
Early on I realized I was more of a ‘learn by doing’ kind of human. Rolling up my sleeves, getting my hands in, and diving into whatever new thing I was presented with, helped learning to sink in much faster.
I coined a term for this—fajondilize.
To truly fajondilize something is to be completely elbows deep in whatever you’re doing. And to commit to whatever happens next. It’s to allow space for your creativity to gain traction and spark.
For the past 20 years, I have been an agent of innovation and change. I support individuals and organizations driven to make an impact in our world.
This means I've collaborated with hundreds of humans to move through pivots and transformations. I've been fortunate to have been involved in numerous entrepreneurial endeavours from running a restaurant in a village in Laos (in 2001) to founding companies and supporting brands around the world in Food, Education, Mindfulness, Ethical fashion, Ai, Tech, and Agtech.
"To be hopeful means to be uncertain about the future, to be tender toward possibilities, to be dedicated to change all the way down to the bottom of your heart.” — Rebecca Solnit (author of Hope in the Dark)
Hopeful glue to catalyze change
Our world is changing rapidly. There is an emergence of self-empowering and self-managed models presenting new ways for careers to shift, our next generation to learn, and families to carve out a life with less 'shoulds' and more connection. I am devoted to designing and facilitating authentic spaces for inspiration, growth and transformation.
Learning has been a huge theme in my life. Though never formally trained as an educator, I have found my way into all sorts of fascinating settings and businesses where learning is the central focus. I also believe our future entrepreneurs and change makers need an upgraded, self-directed approach to their education. Period.
As part of my impact work, I sit on boards, consult with schools and education platforms, started numerous global Braintrusts and have created Hope Sparks Network for parents + educators hunting for inspiring models and ideas for education innovation.
My Youtube Channel is rich with years of interviews with kids, parents and education innovators—all rethinking what learning looks like for our future. The equation is simple. The future of work begins with the future of learning. They are interwoven.
Join me as a special guest on panels, interviews and discussions on the intersection of education, entrepreneurship and innovation.
I practice what I share
I have joined an increasing number of humans who are carving out different lifestyle choices that suit our fast-changing, global and connected world. But this shift in our approach didn’t come overnight. It took planning, mindset shifts and plenty of inspiration to pull the trigger to test new models and see the benefits.
The result? My travel afficionado husband and I made a pact to pull the ripcord on the conventional pattern and travel the globe with our kids every four years. For us, this more flexible, creative approach to family life is also a part of our children’s education.
Videos speak a thousand words. Here’s a sneak peek into my family travelling the world (psst..we have done this a few times).
